customized

I found a bathroom on Pinterest that was exactly the look I wanted to go with when redoing my bathroom. Only problem was, I didnt plan on laying down that kind of dough to improve my space, so I found a nice cloth shower curtin on sale at Target in the exact color and decided to make my own.

What you'll need:
Shower curtin
Fabric paint
Contact paper
foam brush
scissors

Using cotact paper cut out your desired design, peel off backing and firmly stick to your intended area of fabric.

Once your patern is laid, using your spunge brush, paint your stenciled out areas. I found it easier to paint along the contact paper first, then fill in the rest as you go.

Allow drying time and botta bing botta boom you have a one of a kind shower curtin. I plan on using the techniqe on other fabric, like clothing. I am still looking for items to complete the space but im very excited to see it coming along gradually.

the wrap up....

Sunday was a lazy day in the Klingmeyer household. We read books and took naps, indulged in yummy freezer pizza and drank wine coolers. There was no schedule to keep no place to be, just the hot summer sun pounding through the windows and the AC running at full blast. Even the pups snoozed most of the day away in their over stuffed dog beds, only getting up to follow us to the next room, just to flop down again and drift back off to dreamland. I enjoyed the lazy day seeing how we dont have a pool and it was one hundred and stupid out, staying in and lazing around just seemed the right place to be.

I'll take the B.B.Q. ribs!

Friday night my friend Jason and I went out to dinner at Joe's B.B.Q. for some scrumptious food and deep conversation. When we got there, Jason turns to me and says "i have never eaten here." I look at him dumb founded, quickly recover and say prepare to have your world rocked. Yes guys it is that good.

We waited our turn in line and finally when we go to order, before the lady can quite finish her sentence, I say I want the ribs. Well apparently I was really excited to eat because I have no idea where that came from, or maybe it was that I was thinking about it all day, practically salivating at work. They load up our trays, we pay and find a good seat in a somewhat secluded area so that we can talk about all the junk we need to get off our chests, without being distracted by all the other family conversations.

After we finished our delicious food and we had unloaded all our concerns/goings on in life on each other (mostly mine) we found ourselves relaxed and ready to tackle new adventures. So we made a summer bucket list. We thought of fun inexpensive things we would like to experience this summer. Here is a bit of the list that I can remember.

* Make sure Laurel's camera is charged(it died as soon as we got there and Jason had to use his phone)

* Ride light rail to down town Phoenix and walk around.

* Ride light rail to Tempe and explore all the historical buildings and pubs.

* Have a pool party on the first official day of summer

* Cliff jumping

*Tubing down the river

*Hike the natural bridge

*Find dive bars with live bands

Because Jason had never been to down own Gilbert before, we decided to walk around and check out all the fun things they had going on. (and took lots and lots of pictures)

I hope you find some summer magic this week.

Its monday already? how did that happen?

This weekend I had my schedule jam packed. Every day there was something going on. By the time Sunday came I was pooped. I left the house Sunday to teach Sunday school, as I was on the way home I popped into Walgreen's and grabbed a pint of sherbet and headed home. I boarded myself up in the house for the rest of the day, turning off my cell, popping Harry Potter into the DVD player and digging into my sherbet as fast as I could, no bowl needed, just me and the carton. Halfway through my sherbet infused Happy Potter bender I put away the carton and started putting my new sewing room together. As I got started I became more and more excited, no more sewing supplies strewn about the house, and I mean it was everywhere people. Now I have bins for all my needles, scissors and fabric, amongst many other sewing gizmo's. Overall I'm very happy with how it all turned out. When I finally had the room just the way I wanted it, I popped in the next disk in the HP series, slunk down in my new chair and got to work .The sound of my sewing machine humming away along with the movie was utter bliss. I sat there for a couple hours working in peace, no more digging around trying to find this or that it was all in its place and I was one happy lady. Now I can just sew at my leisure, without having to dig everything out. I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend. here are a few clips from mine.
