Watching the sun come up

I woke up this morning filled with joy. I don't know if its because my beautiful friend Tia is getting married or if it has to do with this being my first day off in three weeks, or maybe just the combination of the two. I walked out into the kitchen and the sun was just starting to peek its head over the mountain tops, so I grabbed my camera, made myself a cup of tea and just sat there and watched. I soon became uncomfortable in the chair i was sitting in, and moved back inside to the love seat leaving the door wide open to the cool morning breeze. It was spectacular how much beauty God made for us to see.

I watched until the sun became blinding, then i pulled the blinds and just listed to the world wake up. I could hear the horses whinny and a dog barking and even the crow of a rooster. That's the beauty of living in the middle of nowhere, you get to see a sunrise with no obstructions and farm animals all around is peaceful.

I have been thinking a lot lately about what i want to do in my life, and there are just so many things. I want to finish school, i want to feed the homeless, maybe go to another country and be a teacher in an orphanage, write a book, learn to paint, hike to the bottom of the grand canyon, have my own horse, get married, teach 1st grade, become a mom, i really want to adopt kids, spend a Christmas in New York. There are so many things and the list grows each day. Ultimately I want to make the world around me a better place, and when i leave it that my heavenly father is waiting with open arms and says well done my good and faithful servant.

renewed giddieness

So its technically fall, but out here in Arizona we're still experiencing the 90 degree weather.  Our mornings have cooled off considerably, making it enjoyable to spend time outside again.
Also with the New cooler temp, I have become inspired. I have gone gung ho and rearranged funiture in my bed room and the front room and have decorated galore. There is just something about the change in the weather that gives me new hopes for whats to come. With all the holidays and hot tea in the mornings coming, i am giddy. I am so excited to be able to wear sweaters and boots again and to go for a walk with out melting with in the first minute. So i am welcoming the change with open arms and a smile.

Happy Saturday

Where does the time go????

This past weekend my boss and I went to a store conference. It was both Saturday and Sunday from 9-5.  I am on information overload. I learned really great printing techniques that I am very excited to put to use. Down side, I am exhausted and have had no time for myself. Sometimes, I wish i could just pause the world around me and take a break, then when im ready hit the play button and resume living. But it just doesnt work that way so im going to be greatful for what I have. Oh and and I made a sign with my blogs name, best part of the whole thing.
